State of Alabama, Jackson County: Before me, J.A. Kile, Regiser in Chancery for said County and State, personally W. Walker Mcutchen (4th), who being duly sworn says: That the foregoing is a true and correct copy of the record of births, deaths, and marrages contained in the old family bible of William Walker McCutchen (Jr), deceased, as appears therin, except for the record of births, death, and marriages of slaves. Deponet further saith that he is the custodian of said bible. Signed William Walker McCutchen (4th) Witness my hand and the seal of said Chancery Court on the 3rd day of February, 1913. Signed J.A. Kile Deaths Mary E. McCutchen departed this life the 29th October 1844 in the 30th year of her age. Consumption. Margaret McCutchen, second wife, departed this life, 5th January 1864 in the 37th year of her age. Amanda Mariah McCutchen, departed this life 8th June, 1868, in the 18th year of her age. Appoplexy. William Walker (Jr.) was drowned July 15th, A.D., 1878. Margaret Higgins McCutchen. Departed this life on the 14th February, 1841, in the 3rd year of her age. Scarlet Fever. George William Mccutchen, departed this life suddenly on the 4th, May, 1846, in the sixth year of his age. Elizabeth H. Beavers departed this life with Typhoid Fever, August 2nd, 1880. Harrison McCutchen departed this life July 9th, 1883, at Stubblefield, Texas. Judge William Walker McCutchen (3rd) departed this life October 5th, 1908 at Scottsboro. Marriages William Walker McCutchen (Jr.) and Mary E. Higgins were married the 20th of June, 1837 William Walker McCutchen (Jr.) and Margaret Marrison were married on the 11th day of February, 1845. Lewis McCutchen and Mattie E. Owen were married December 20th, 1877, at Four Mile. Mo. Judge William Walker McCutchen (3rd) and Mollie E. Cotton were married Noverber 4th, 1874. R.F. McCorkle and Mary E. McCutchen were married February 4th, 1874. Francis Elizabeth McCutchen and G.H. Beavers were married on th 12th of January 1876. Jessie A. McCutchen and A.N. Blakemore were married 27th of April, 1879. William Walker McCutchen(4th) and Maude Kennemer were married September 22nd, 1903 at Larkinsville

Note by Fay Lockhart Mays of 3202 Bonnie Road, Austin, Texas The above Bible was owned by the late Harvey Allen of Birmingham Miss Bynum obtained the photostat copy Feb. 14, 1961 and sent it to Mrs. Wm. Bush (Alma Lain) Chambers of Sanger, Texas. Mrs. Harvey Allen, widow, was living in Birmingham, Ala. In October 1967, when I had a telephone conversation with her. She has the family Bible which I presume to be this one. Austin, Texas December 27, 1967
