Charles S. McCutcheon COLUMBUS, Ga. — Graveside service with military honors for retired Sgt. 1st Class Charles S. McCutcheon, 79, of Columbus, Ga., was held Tuesday at Parkhill Cemetery with McMullen Funeral Home directing. Mr. McCutcheon died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003.

He was born Sept. 2, 1923, in Lacey's Spring to the late Roy B. McCutcheon and Altea Lipscomb McCutcheon. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was the widower of the late Helen D. McCutcheon. Survivors include two daughters, Judy McCutcheon of Columbus, Ga., and Janet Heartsill of Jacksonville, Fla.; two stepsons, Jerry McConnell of Columbus and Bob McConnell of Arizona; one stepdaughter, Gwen Merrison of Florida; one brother, Dick McCutcheon of Huntsville; two sisters, Katherine Wright and Polly Schuster; and six grandchildren.
