Paul Eugene McCutcheon
Paul Eugene McCutcheon, 74, of Craigsville, VA, died Saturday, July 23, 2005. He was born on Dec. 8, 1930 in West Virginia, the son of the late George and Sadie (Harris) McCutcheon. He was married to his loving wife of nearly 54 years, Nannie Pearl (Wilcher) McCutcheon, whom he leaves behind.
Mr. McCutcheon was a veteran of the United States Army, having served his country during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Augusta Correctional Center in Craigsville. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to fish, hunt, and work in his garden.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Roy Michael McCutcheon and wife Lynn of Churchville, two grandchildren, Lauren and Derek McCutcheon of Churchville; a brother, Edward Fridley of Staunton; a Goddaughter, Nickie; a special niece, Fay Fisher; and a number of friends and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Mr. McCutcheon was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
A graveside service was held at the Community Memorial Cemetery in Craigsville.
Paul McCutcheon was a descendant of John McCutcheon, the immigrant to Augusta Co., VA, through his son, Samuel and Elizabeth (Fulton) McCutcheon.
