Obituary

Ruth McCutchen Price, 79, of Madison died Saturday. The funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Christ Church of Monrovia with Rev. Bob Phelps and Rev. Wendell Trotter officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro at 12:30 p.m.

Mrs. Price was an active member of the Christ Church of Monrovia and of the Women's Ministry of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Grace Circle where she recently received a Perpetual Patron Membership. She was also a member of the Senior Adult's Group at the Church. She was retired from the Civil Service at Redstone Arsenal.

Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Ashby and her husband, Artie of Madison; grandson, Don Trammell and his wife, Jerianne of Toney; granddaughter, Terri Burant and her husband, Keith of Turks and Caicos Islands; granddaughters, Susan Ashby of Huntsville and Chris Randall of Clearwater, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Trey and Kayleigh Trammell of Toney; Shelby and Preston Burant of Turks and Caicos Islands; Rachel and Gwen Hamilton of Clearwater, Fla.; a special niece, Marilyn Mayhue of Madison. Visitation was held yesterday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the building fund of the Christ (Cumberland Presbyterian) Church of Monrovia, 1580-A Jeff Road, Huntsville, AL 35806.
